------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jan 26 17:07:12 -0800 2006 ------- There are few problems in the Mail Merge Wizard/create salutation dialog window: 1 When "Insert personalized salutation" is selected, the "general salutation" is still selectable, which confuses the users. 2 Insert personalized salutation/Female only has one choice --- "Dear Mrs.<last name>" no matter if you put "Miss" as the "title" in the data of address list. 3 The information in the preview box is only changed according to the "Insert personalized salutation". That is it doesn't display right salutation when only the general salutation is selected. 4 Whatever you assignment to the "field name" and "field value" under the "address list field indicate a female recipient", there is no changing neither in the letter nor in the database file. The processing of my test: 1 Go to the "create salutation" dialog window in the Mail Merge Wizard 2 Select the "Insert Personalized Salutation", check the domain of each varible under this choice 3 Select the " General Salutation" and check it's variable 4 Also check the changing in the preview box during case 2 and 3 5 Assign value to field name and field value 6 For each case above 2-5, check the final result in the letter.
