StarOffice does not install Java and Adabas as so-called embedded installations. In this case StarOffice would be responsible for the installation and deinstallation of the embedded products and would always be informed about their installation state. But Java and Adabas could only be installed and deinstalled from within the StarOffice installation. I do not think, that we want such a functionality in the Office. The existing mechanism is, that StarOffice only starts the installation of Java and Adabas but has no information about their installation state. Therefore it is always possible, that Java and Adabas are deinstalled independently from StarOffice. And therefore it is very good that the modules show always the state "deselected". This makes it possible for the user to install this products using the StarOffice maintenance installation. And there are no problems with this maintenance mode installations because the Windows Installer checks, if this products are already installed -> there is nothing to do, the existing behaviour is very good for us. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
