OK, i've just uninstalled OpenOffice v1.14, rebotted, and then intalled OpenOffice-v1-9-beta-680m74 from above link (Japan mirror), and confirm the bug is still there. 2. here is more detailed info in case this matters: i've installed MS Office'XP before installing any OpenOffice program. all *.XLS, *.DOC, *.PPT file associations are pointed to MS Office'XP always (even after OpenOffice intallations). ***first PDF created by SpreadSheet program: no file name in the PDF export dialogue box. (SpreadSheet "forgets" souce file name.) ***all subsequent PDF export dialogues remember the source file's *.XLS file name so OK. 3. new gripe about OpenOffice-v1-9-beta-680m74: ***why does PDF export include the comments into the PDF form? when PDF is opened, there're many Comments placeholders everywhere that messes up the PDF look. 4. new gripe about OpenOffice-v1-9-beta-680m74: with *.XLS *.DOC *.PPT associated with MS Office'XP, when i Open_With there is never any open option to open with OpenOffice v1.9, even after i've chosen this option a few times? (in the previous v1.14 Win'XP-Pro SP2 remembers user's choice of OpenOffice as an OpenWith option). if (3) and (4) should be new bug reports sorry...this is my very first bug report for OpenOffice, so not familiar with your system...
