If the quickstarter isn't activ, you must create a new document before you can open an existing document or you make a double-click on the Document in the explorer. Workaround: Make a shortcut of soffice.exe and add in the properties slot:5500. It looks then like: "C:\Programme\OpenOffice.org 2.0\program\soffice.exe" slot:5500. This opens the dialogue templates and documents.
