I don't believe I'm using invalid arguments. My original configure was:
./configure --disable-mozilla
(using the othewise excellent notes on the web page to guide me)
I misunderstood what you were referring to at one stage, but this didn't change
anything.
Here's what has happened in my case:
1 - the build unpacks epm/download/epm-...tgz which is the source code for epm.
2 - runs epm's configure, which checks for an fltk-config file on the system.
3 - I have the fltk libs installed, which includes the fltk-config file, so
epm's configure says to build the epm GUIs.
4 - I don't have the fltk development package containing the required
include files. It is common for the development files for most packages
to be in separate rpms to the runtime components (so libs etc).
5 - the epm build fails because in needs the include files.
I believe you when you say that the GUI is no longer required by OOo, but AFAICS
nothing prevents the above from occurring in the latest builds.
The epm-3.7 package is still the same one for SRC680_m155. epm/epm-3.7.patch has
been modified for SRC680_m155, but I don't see anything in it to guarantee that
the epm configure isn't confused into building the GUIs by mistake as described
above.
