OOo uses CUPS already, so it should work with those drivers. Every option
exported by CUPS should also be visible within the printer settings dialogue
(either in OOo or spadmin). So I'm not quite sure what exactly you are missing.
If you want the old command line behaviour back, then you can set the
environment variable SAL_DISABLE_CUPS to a non empty value.
