This refers to OOo2.0.155 not cooperating with another program so it will
probably not get a high priority but I report it anyhow.

There is a fairly well known free program for Windos users: AllChars.exe.
Downloadable from: http://allchars.zwolnet.com/
This program has two main uses:
to insert characters not existing on the keyboard and
to insert (even long) sequences of characters (texts, names, dates etc.). This
latter is called using macros.

I have to create several short documents every day and these must have file
names according to certain rules, i.e contain certain character sequences of
different kinds. Therefore I use this macro facility all the time.

When I save a file in OOo1.1.4 (and up until OOo2.0 inclusive) there is no
problem. But when I want to save a file in the actually newest OOo2.0.155 the
whole program suite quits in the moment I call the macro from AllChars. Whatever
the macro is. So the Save window is open, I click in the white box "File name",
press the keys that would call the relevant AllChars macro - and OOo 2.0.155
quits. (It is configurable which keys to press but it is irrelevant now.)

I do not know of OOo versions in between because there was a serious regression
in OOo (concerning self made templates and self made macros - issue 58527) which
made it impossible for me to get as far as saving a file.

The problem covered in that issue is solved (thank you very much), but it seems
interesting that although a different program is concerned some "macro business"
is involved again and, furthermore, this problem did not exist and does not
exist in earlier versions of OOo.

Perhaps you will have a chance to check this some time in the future.
Thank you.
