@hro: The issue originally was about the way OOo names a lock file, which
appears to be broken according to alonbi (for one, resolving
"localhost.mydomain.com" instead of just "localhost", for another, why not
simply use IP address). One reason why that lock file is needed at all is the
configuration---sure. However, I would prefer to keep this issue focused on the
original problem. If you feel the need to address the problem that multiple
instances of OOo cannot run in parallel, please file another issue for that.
