------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Feb 13 13:32:05 -0800 2006 ------- > [EMAIL PROTECTED]: > If I open such files from OOo Menu "File - Open" and select file type "tex, > csv", the file will be opened in OOo CALC as expected. I see now. If I select (highlight) the file first and *then* specify the file type as "Text CSV (*.csv;*.txt)", OOo Calc will open the file as desired. Thanks! However, this is not (for me, at least) expected behavior. I expect the file type dialogue to simply limit the available files from which to choose. Perhaps the Open dialogue box could be improved to reflect this behavior? Or maybe an "Import" item could be added to the "File" menu? I dunno. Something that would make it obvious that there's a way for the user to specify the format that the file is in, regardless of the file's extension. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
