I found a solution:
Before beginning: close all OOo related applications
1) Find the file WriterCommands.xcu, it should be located in
\OpenOffice.org 2.0\share\registry\res\de\org\openoffice\Office\UI
2) Open it with an editor and look for the following entry:
<node oor:name=".uno:InsertTable">
<prop oor:name="Label" oor:type="xs:string">
<value xml:lang="de">Tabelle...</value>
</prop>
</node>
3) Change "<value xml:lang="de">Tabelle...</value>"
to "<value xml:lang="de">~Tabelle...</value>"
and save the file
4) Look for the file org.openoffice.Office.UI.WriterCommands.dat
in your personal configuration direcotry which is on my system
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Administrator\Anwendungsdaten\OpenOffice.
org2\user\registry\cache
(should be something similar on your system)
5) Delete it as it is a cache file and prevents your modification
from being applied
6) Start OOo and have fun!
