Hi,
this is called number recognition and is therefore a feature. Using a
preformatted cell (text in this case) you get a left aligned 1-5 (indicating it
as a text).
1-5 is a possible date and therefore the number recognition makes it a date if
the cell isn't preformatted. So no bug and no feature request. Closing invalid.
