I just reproduced the error with 2.0.2RC1 (downloaded from the stardiv
mirror) on Windows XP by simply downloading the .odt attached to the bug
report and trying to make a PDF file.
I start to feel a little fooled here because it is so dead simple to
reproduce on all machines I have access to, but I receive nothing but a
blunt "cannot reproduce" from the OOo development team.
As we implemented a workaround that estimates the number of pages from the
XML data I don't see a point in starting the discussion with you again.
