2006 -------
Confirmed with OOo 2.0.2RC3, Writer, WinXP.
- Typed 'Pacman'.
- Spell check; indicates 'Pacman' is wrong.
- In the spell check window, correct to 'Pac-man'.
- Add to dictionary. Ok.
- Run spell check again.
- Highlights 'Pac' as a mistake.
I'm not sure whether it is acceptable to just prevent adding a hyphenated word
to the dictionary- although this is easiest to implement. In some cases (such as
'Pac-man'), in semantic terms surely this counts as just one word.
Regards,
Andrew
