I would not want to sacrifice OOo consistency for the sake of MS bug-compatibility without having the choice of degrading the default OOo behaviour. MS Office 2002 SP3 behaviours: Word - zoom does not set "document modified" status. Excel and PPT - zoom seems to set "document modified" status (might be something else going on behind the scenes that affects the document). Word and Excel - the save command is always "enabled"; whether it actually works is another matter... Excel: open document, change zoom, save - document saved, including zoom factor PPT: same result as Excel Word: open document, change zoom, save - document not saved!
