------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Feb 13 13:52:21 -0800 2005 ------- Confirmed the behavior outlined below with the Writer file in attachment #22352. When opening up a default blank document in writer the issue does not occur. Steps to duplicate the problem: 1. Start 680m77 Writer 2. Open the template file from attachment #22352 (writer.ott). 3. Open Firefox 1.0 4. In Firefox 1.0, highlight and copy text from: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/01/03/x-ray_pilot_update/ beginning at the phrase "Heathrow x-ray weapons scanner, just say no" and continuing to the end of the article text ending at the phrase "cede security to automated systems." 5. Switch back to Writer and click Paste..Special. 6. Select HTML Format (the first choice). 7. Click CTRL+V to paste. 8. Writer crashes with an error from C++ indicating abnormal program termination. Note: The Writer application also crashes if HTML Format without Comments is selected in step #6, but instead of a C++ error, an OpenOffice.Org dialog box pops up saying that the program terminated unexpectedly. I sent a Crash report in referencing this issue # in the description.
