2006 -------
Create a new AutoText.

- Add some Control to it e.g. a Dropdown Listbox an a Textfield
- Switch Off Design Mode
- Save it

- Create an empty Writer document.
- Insert the AutoText you've created into that doc.

Bug: The controls appear only if the Design Mode has been switched on, but they
should also appear if the Design Mode has been switched off.
