And yes, I know that when I used to open files they would open at the cursor. The point is that that has simply stopped working (in my case), even though the Restore Editing View is checked. This happened to me some time ago and remained not working for a long time, and then it rectified itself (I don't remember what changed - maybe an install of a later version).
