@Heiner: Yes, I agree, diversity is good and strengthens portability. Though it
makes sense to collect all currently used compilers and judge what old/buggy
compilers we still have to support and for what cost. I think of future boost
versions (issue 60951, IIRC currently blocked by our SunPro CC version),
maintainability, and the risk to break the master. It makes sense to collect
known compiler flaws (=> coding guidelines), because nobody knows every used
compiler in depth.
