I agree, it's not very intuitive how the hyperlink dialogue can be reached.
A direct edit in the cell will not be possible, because there are too many
properties, so that the complete hyperlink dialogue is required. I believe that
"The EXCEL way", where the hyperlink dialogue can be opened with a rightclick on
the hyperlink, would be a good solution.
This is already reported in issue 53153, pls. see
<http://specs.openoffice.org/ui_in_general/menus/Context4ContextMenus.sxw> under
heading "Future Tasks"; it will take some time.
