The Japanese long accent should properly be entered as a macron. It is already
supported (since OOo 1.0) if the user's IME supports entering macrons, or if the
user uses "Insert special characters". Provided that the font also supports
macrons, too, of course.

However, in any case, this looks like a dup of issue 5991, or the two can be
merged somehow. Personally I think 5991's analysis (i.e., the line in technical
literature is an overline instead of an emphasis mark) is more correct.
