------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Mar 27 18:47:25 -0800 2006 ------- This same issue occurs for me, perhaps 90% of the time regardless of the document type used. (I grade a large number of papers in odt, ods, sxw, sxc, xls, and doc formats). No errors appear on the command line (from Konsole) when this happens. It *is* an issue for me and I end up needed to run "killall -HUP soffice.bin" to prevent it from redlining my CPU. I'm running: * OpenOffice 2.0.2 * Vector Linux 5.1 (Slackware 10.1 based) * KDE 3.5.0 * Toshiba Satellite 1410-S173 (Celeron x86 running at 1793 MHz) * 256 MB RAM I can say that this never occurs from IceWM or XFCE, so it seems to be a KDE interaction issue. Any hints on how to start soffice from command line to provide the stack report that you guys need to resolve this? Without specific instructions on how to do the stack report you require, there's not much more I can tell you.
