------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Feb 15 02:54:00 -0800 2005 ------- the patch seems to be OK as a workaround. maybe better set int in #ifdef MACOSX to be safe not to break anything else. but the root cause should be identified here by debugging in the initialization of the static variable. Just looked into it under windows and there is quite some code being executed and something seems to go wrong there.
