------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Apr 12 18:51:48 -0700 2006 ------- This looks related to issues 7834 and 5149 but those say "fixed" and I still have the problem. Here's what happens: I open Writer, I type a sentence, I click the icon to save (diskette), I choose "My Network Places" in that window I double-click "Steve's Documents on Grandpa's Computer (ws_desktop)", then I navigate to the folder I want and I try to save the file as "bug". The following error is generated, every time: Error saving the document bug.odt: \\Ws_desktop\steve's documents\bug.odt does not exist. When I push "OK" another error message pops up: Error saving the document bug.odt: General Error General input/output error. I can save the file to a local folder, use Windows to copy it to the network location, and then open the file in Writer from the network location. However, if I make a change and try to save back to the network location, it gives the second error pop-up above (General Error). Opening from the network and saving locally works fine. Both machines are x86, Windows XP SP2, running the windows firewall. This occurs for any file, even the trivial case (blank file). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
