------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Apr 15 02:02:45 -0700 2006 ------- It would be great to have a chance to set the style for conditional formatting using a formula, instead to select an item in the list box. This can be done adding a new item like 'Style name is', after 'Cell value is' and 'Formula is'. If the formula returns a valid style name, apply it; if not, fall back to the select style in the drop-down list. This behaviour should greatly improve some conditional formatting issues. Scenario: Suppose A1 is a cell in which the user has to input some codes, while the cell A2 has a formula that check the value in A1 and establish the appropriate style for it (with a lot of different possible results). Now, I need a third cell, say A3, with a formula like '=A1 & IF(STYLE(A2);"";""', in order to get the value formatted as I want. This implies that user input area and rendering area have to be diffent ones. With my proposal, I should simply set a conditional formatting for cell A1, choosing 'Style name is' and then putting into the formula 'A2', to get the format directly applied to the cell. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
