OK, OOo does have the ability to change page orientation mid-document. And, as
was mentioned this seems to be something that many people have difficulty with
when coming from MS Word. I was referred to the help pages, but I tried to
search in OOo help before I mentioned the issue in the first place (as well as
searching for a previous issue, of course). I couldn't find anything even after
trying several searches, or I wouldn't have posted the issue.
If nothing more is going to be done at this point to improve the usability (and,
I can understand rejecting certain things at this point in a release cycle), at
the very least, I think the issue should be reopened as a documentation problem
until the place to find an answer becomes apparent to someone coming from MS
Word. It should have been easier to find in the help file.
I also think the stylist needs a tutorial. Maybe it already has one, but I
haven't seen it. The stylist is definitely a new tool to me coming from MS
Office. I've used OOo since 1.1.0, but I've never made use of the stylist. I
just don't know what it's good for, and obviously I don't know all of what it
can do.
p.s. I'm sorry for marking it as a high priority. It was a slip of the
mouse...
