Follow up for issue 64505: Either remove a potential file before the
+echo > $(VERSIONTMP)
or chmod 644 after or ..
<ause> vq: and even the tmpfile shouldn't be required anymore as the *_version.h
are unique now IIRC
remove the use of the temporary file.
