It is possible to search for the described special characters (regexp).
Even if not always convinient... (duplicate to issue 18375)

Furthermore, when asking for enhancement in the future, please detail exactly
what you mean with concrete examples. "The regular expression in OO is not fully
regular
expression as in Qt etc." is just a general statement which doesn't help to find
out what is needed.
