- The mailmerge feature in OOo is written by python
- MSO97 is not needed
It seems to be a installation issue.
May you have to call the computerhotline ;)
Try this:
- Rename the hidden OOo folder under "documents and settings" directory
- Then when you start OOo the first start wizard should appear
-> The configuration will be renewed.
I've downloaded the OOo2.0.2 (without jre) stable version from openoffice.org
and have installed it and it's all ok as expected. I did it just for a check.
