When I "print" to my fax program, Semantic WinFax Pro, one or more blank pages
are inserted, and the page numbering is changed.

Typically, the cover sheet WinFax function works OK. Problem is in the .ODT.
Usually 1st and 3rd pages are blank.

WinFax provides a fax overview side panel showing thumbnails of the pages
starting with the cover page, which is prepared in WinFax. Those thumbnails
show that page 2 of the fax (page 1 of the document being faxed) is blank.

Using the WinFax wizard, one can move down to that apparently blank page (as in
proofreading) - yep, it is blank.

Page 1 of the ODT shows as page 3, whereas it should be pg 1 were it not for the
preceeding blank.

Page 4 of the fax is typically blank (both in the thumbnail and in the
proofreading display). Page 2 of the ODT is displayed as page 5.

I fax this document to my pharmacist aabout once a month. To order refills.
Having noticed the blanks, I called the Rx. Sure 'nuf, they had been receiving
blank pages intersperced with good ones.

Played around with the document to see if it was sensitive to deleting some
lines here and there. NO JOY.

W/ cooperation of pharmacy, faxed the document, but prior to send, I put cursor
on a blank page and pressed delete. Weent to next blank page and did same.
Called pharmacy. They got it without the blank pages.

THis is not a glaring defect, but has been present now for several months.
Being a Scot, I hate to waste paper, even when the pharmacy, not I have to pay
for it.

System: ASUS motherboard, Semperon 64 bit processor, 512k memory.

System has partitions C:\ thru O:\. It multiboots to PC-DOS 7 or Win ME. Also
have Win XP home, but it is not working.

FOOTNOTE: Tried faxing the list to another pharmacy today to ask their help in
evaluation of all this new Medicare Rx stuff. The ODT window blew off while I
was getting the fax sent. Several attempts. Rebooted after failure of
CrashRep. As best I can recall, each attempt had some blank pages, but some had
onnly onne blank page.

Am retired programmer - mainframes. Will help test or recreate.

Will send you a copy of document if you wish. As it is medical info, I would
prefer to send it encrypted, and I know of a free way to do so called BitWise.

regards, malcolm
