But I suppose that mechanisms for attributing patches is similar to OO: sign up, sign some agreement, submit patches. There are probably more information burried somewhere on www.opensolaris.org. By the way, using a different compiler may require a new bridge component or just small changes to it. The bridge tests are build in the testtools project.
