mysql do not support boolean fields, oo creates yes/no bits instead to
'simulate' them (this is a feature)
the other 'translation' problems results from the wrong driver information (oo
cannot fit to every driver ignoring the jdbc standard)
p.s. by creating a new database the point 'mysql' and afterwards 'jdbc' work
better (ignore some of such driver faults) than choosing 'jdbc' at the beginning
