2006 -------
In OOOBase, go into the table designer and create a field of type  
Text(Varchar).  In the field properties section at the bottom, click in the  
field length text box. Note that the help text on the right hand side says:  
"Enter the maximum text length permittted."   
Permitted should only have two 't's in it.  
  
Tested on: Linux 2.0.2 and Windows 680m169 builds  
  
Language: Default (English).
