------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri May 19 05:14:48 -0700 2006 ------- Since a single, uncompressed XML file is legal under the OpenDocument specification, shouldn't OpenOffice.org (as the flag-bearer for the OpenDocument format) handle this by default, without the need for optional filters? I believe it's a problem that another program can produce a perfectly legal file under the OpenDocument specification that OpenOffice.org is unable to open. OpenOffice.org should be able to open these files and compressed JAR-type OpenDocument files using the same .ODx file suffix with no problems. The ability to save in non-package OpenDocument format is less important, but could easily be provided as either an option under the "Options - Load/Save - General" menu or another file type in the "Save As" dialog. An optional filter would probably be sufficient for saving files in the non-package format but the program should be able to open them natively. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
