I also see the behavior 2.0.2 OS X. Document contains links to PPGABEL2.XLS, but
it should be possible to open without updating. I'm going to confirm since I
checked that the document works fine in Excel. The formulas containing the links
appear to be wiped out, too: formulas which in Excel appear like
='Macintosh HD:Users:ridgway:Desktop:[PPGABEL2.XLS]Foglio1'!$D$60
instead appear as
=
(yes, just an equals sign).
