Hi Tom,
It's not a bug, it's a feature :)
In the API case you probably passed the 4th parameter unequal to zero, which
results in additional statistical values returned in a second dimension. See
online-help for the LINEST function.
The {=LINEST(K9:K12;L9:L12;;FALSE())} simply lacks the 3rd parameter. Missing
parameters are not supported yet by Calc. Also mentioned in the online-help of
LINEST, btw ;-) RFE for this is issue 3879.
