------- Additional comments from Thu Jun 8 05:16:14 -0700 2006 ------- I was recently taught that
Impress most definitely outputs to HTML, and very nicely at that
Indeed! It was my fault. I always tried to Save As..., but as hardly I tried, there was NO html option. Many thanks to Dallas Ray Smetter for the correction (on a different forum). Nevertheless, I still believe that there should be more emphasis on the web and web-technologies and therefore warrants a major rethinking, e.g.: * no fixed layouts (the web is a dynamic medium; no fixed resolution) * more interactivity: web-presentations should be highly interactive * ease layout design (modereately complex layouts still necessitate a lot of user input and no possibility to implement templates)!!!
