Making a text style that has both expanded (1.0pt) text and underlining, the
line extends too far and eats characters and spaces following the styled region.
The bug also shows up in print, not just on the screen.

I conclude that underlining is broken for expanded text.

Thanks in advance for any efforts.

PS: Related bugs that have been reported some time ago: #24517 #45623. I hope
somebody with more OO code knowledge can look into this long-standing bug and
hopefully finally fix it.
