I find no version Open Office can read MS Office 2007. I hope Open Office Team can add this function as soon as possible. openoffice can read most MS office files except MS office 2007 beta 1 and 2. But unfortunately, if you use MS office to open openoffice file, that have always has problems, as document is nearly frozen. The file is corrupt.
