------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Feb 17 08:55:57 -0800 2005 ------- As Coalan already said the problem is the gnomevfs library. The culprit is an assert GNOME_VFS_ASSERT_PRIMARY_THREAD (rev. 1.14) which has been removed in revision 1.16 of gnome-vfs-cancellation.c which will come into libgnomevfs 2.9 or 2.10. So it is up to Debian to switch to a newer version when available or to patch the current lib by removing this line (which is the fix). Btw. may anyone enlighten me what the advantages of the gnome open-/save dialogs are? I like typing filenames and paths into an edit field very much, because in many cases it is a lot faster, especially when you have a huge number of files or directories (like in /usr/shar/doc). This seems not possible in the gnome open dialog (how can you open http URLs and not yet mounted automounter paths?) The file types in the save dialog are hidden under the option Browse Filesystem (or sth like that). I like the favourites, however. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
