Reporter, if you choose correctly, the version 1.0.2 is too old...
please update to lateste stable version here:
http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.2/index.html
If is not the case, please, give us more information: which version are you
using? can you attach the document in question ? are trying to save your file in
some network place?
I'm closing this one as works for me, until you make sure that you can reproduce
the same problem with latest version.
