as the description is is not the best, I filed a new issue and closing this one
as duplicate.
@thackert:
Drag & Drop would work between applications, but you need to do a long klick on
the object that shouold be dragged before actually starting to drag. This would
change drag behaviour from "change position in current document" to "drag to
other Window / Application).
