2006 -------
The search descriptor contains property SearchType which is nowhere described 
in the 
SDK.
With some test I found it has interesting functionality in SpreadSheet:
SearchType = 0 : search in cell formulas
SearchType = 1 : search in cell values
SearchType = 2 : search in cell notes
Of course these values are probably enums to be documented.
I don't know if there are also values for text documents.

This is already working in version 1.1.4 (possibly earlier versions).
