No, you will see the visual part of the linked document *as it has been saved to
it* the last time. This was when the activation was terminated, so it is correct
that you see a "6". Remember that you have inserted a link so all changes you
make to the object (including changing the visual area) directly go into the
linked file.

> 11. click undo in the toolbar: Calc OLE object becomes centered: defect 2

Not sure if this is a defect, for whatever reason the Writer document has
"recorded" two changes here. Needs some evaluation.

> 12. click undo again: Calc OLE object size changes: defect 3

No, this is not a defect, this is caused by the way how OLE objects are handled.
In case the size of an inactive OLE object is changed the scaling of the
container changes. If the size of an active object is changed the object itself
resizes itself. As you have first changed the size of the object while it was
active the number of cells has changed. No in the "undo" step the object is
inactive and so the number of cells shown stays but the size inside the writer
document is adjusted -> scaling.

As only one possible and not very ugly problem remains -> later.

I understand that this is not satisfactory from a users POV but there is no
concept for shared undo/redo buffers between container and object.
