Sorry, no idea, that piece AFAIR never gave problems so far, and Gentoo
+ ARM just add to unknown terrain. As we're currently working on an
upgrade to ICU 3.4.1 scheduled for OOo2.0.4, I wouldn't invest time on
this and suggest to wait until issue 60645 with CWS 'icuupgrade' is
integrated.
You also could try to build the raw original ICU package using its
internal build mechanism to determine if the error is on the side of ICU
for the ARM platform, or OOo's build environment, or maybe some Gentoo
related error. In any case, if it fails for ICU 2.6, try to do the same
with ICU 3.4.1 available from http://icu.sourceforge.net/, if that
passes, chances are good that after the upgrade your problem will be
gone.
