Ok, do I understand this correctly?
1. You are using OpenOffice.org in the same version on both pcs?
2. Both PCs are nearly equivalent in speed?
3. The same .doc document takes much more time to open on Windows XP with
OpenOffice.org than it does on Windows 2000 Professional (with OpenOffice.org)?
This is really important because you can't compare the time OpenOffice.org needs
to open a .doc document with MS Word. I think it is more important that
OpenOffice.org opens MS Word documents correctly than to speed up this
procedure.
Could you attach the document, if all the points are met?
