If we make altrenate rows with dates and blank cells the date value remains
correct but the date appears to change when cursor is moved down using arrow
keys from row to row.

The behaviour is easily reproduced by creating alternate rows of dates and blank
cells. And moving the selected / higlighted cell using down / up arrow keys.

I have noticed the same odd behavious when alternate columns are filled with
dates but is not reproducible evry time.

No change occurs in date number values even when another cell points to the
apparantly changed date by using =cell formula.
