------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Feb 18 15:09:49 -0800 2005 ------- In an .xls spreadsheet created by excel 95/97 a vendor has sent us a price list. He has unfortunately set all cells to text format. Excel (all versions) recognises the content as numeric (despite warning text to the contrary) and 'correctly/intuitively' allows a formula referencing two such cells to calculate the correct value. OOo 1.1.4 and 1.1.9.65 both fail to calculate, showing a result of 0, until the cell types are chnaged to currency. It doesn't even work if the cell is changed to numeric. F2 in Excel shows the number eg: 35.00 whereas in OOo it appears as '35.00. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
