------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Jul 24 17:23:38 -0700 2006 ------- This issue differs from the issue 24362. Please do not confuse. A main cause of this issue seems to come from an unexpected behavior of the font name looking-up system. A user specifies Japanese font in the document, but the system finds a Chinese font, and then the similar phenomenon as the issue 24362 happens. We might need to look into the looking-up system, not a rendering system, in order to solve the problem described in this issue. The issue 24362 sorely points a problem with a font that seems not to have vertical substitution glyphs in it.
