can confirm with the Goudy Old Style T fonts.
my versions of the fonts did not use the "Goudy Old Style" as identifier in
fontconfig, but "GoudyOlSt" instead.
(there is a match-rule in vcl/source/gdi/outdev3.cxx that matches on "oldstyle"
in the fontname - that property is in turn used to score the font (I don't think
that matters though)
The "T" (URW) normal font identidies itself as "Regular", while mine (BT,
Bitstream) uses "Roman"
I again don't think that really matters...
Probably needs to be investigated some more...
