Just a comment...
I can see that, from the point of view of the people writing & debugging that it would be classified as an enhancement...OO didn't do that before.
From the point of view of the lone guy at the company trying to promote OO and having the company's expense report excel spreadsheet not work in OO, it's a bug.
Deal with the bug/enhancement however you see appropriate.
